Project Summary

The new Boys and Girls Club in the City of Kuna provides a fun and engaging space for kids to participate in activities before and after school. The need for a fully comprehensive Boys and Girls Club center arose when the previous facility, housed in a 70-year-old gym, reached a waitlist of over 125 kids due to increasing demand in the city. The new facility has a capacity of 1,200 and includes a daycare, a game room, tech labs, an art studio, and a teen center. The project also included sitework, including the design of a 300-foot-long extension to the adjacent roadway on W Mendi Place. Plans were prepared to ACHD standards and processed for approval.

Project Summary

The UCSD Pepper Canyon Public Realm project encompasses the public space around a new Design Innovation Building and the Light Rail Transit Station as well as a new Amphitheater and support buildings. This multi-phase project includes public spaces for performances, transportation, dining, studying, classrooms, and fire access to mention a few.

The project covers approximately 5.1-acres of disturbed area and will increase the impervious area with the new fire lanes, buildings, amphitheater seating, and walkways. A regional bioretention basin was coordinated with the West Pepper Canyon Housing and Triton Pavilion projects since all projects had water quality and flow mitigation prior discharging to the same storm drain system.

Nasland Engineering provided demolition, grading, utility, drainage, and erosion control plans for this project. The plans were prepared to regional standards and processed with the University. Nasland also provided topographic surveying, bidding, construction administration, and record drawing services.
